The Product Area Customer Interactions is part of the Customer Acquisition and Services domain, we deliver digital solutions that enable the acquisition of new customers and services to existing customers. Our primary goal is to provide our customers with a first-class experience in both the physical and digital touchpoints. The domain leverages a best-of-breed of technology, combining bespoke solutions with commercial technologies. The domain is a key enabler of Polestar’s overall strategy as a Direct-to-consumer brand and the increasingly important aftermarket business.

As a designer, you will have the opportunity to work on the Test Drive experience product. Our direct-to-consumer approach sets us apart in the industry, making the test drive experience a defining moment in the customer’s journey. The product presents a unique and exciting design challenge that will push your creative abilities and offer opportunities to learn and grow.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and crafting an exceptional user experience for customers at every touchpoint of the test drive journey. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the design solution meets business requirements and aligns with the Polestar brand identity. Your skills and experience in creating engaging and intuitive interfaces will be essential in developing a next generation, digitally enabled integrated online/offline test drive experience.

What you will do

As a UX/UI Designer at Polestar, you will be responsible for realizing the digital brand vision. You will ensure that the digital product is designed to optimize the customer experience and usability while securing a consistent design across digital products. You will also work closely and collaborate with Service Designers and the Digital Strategy team to ensure desired methodologies and practices are used when designing the digital products. The role is focused on enhancing the user experience and driving product innovation through effective collaboration and design strategies.

Expectations are high, but most who work here will benefit from an intensive learning experience. Teams are expected to adopt a truly tech-first, product-focused approach. For many, the autonomy at Polestar is liberating, challenging and unusual.

Further on, you will:

  • Advocate for user-centered design solutions, as well as conduct user research to discover insights, define user-personas, and map user-journeys.
  • Create compelling visual designs that align to company and brand standards; including distinctive, branded digital experiences that are desirable and consistent across multiple platforms, devices and channels
  • Develop new solution concepts, storyboards, detailed interaction designs and screen flows, and prototypes to clearly articulate Digital products
  • Conduct concept and usability testing to iteratively validate and improve design solutions
  • Actively collaborate as part of your digital team to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately
  • Track user experience metrics and reports on the success of UX improvements, including analytics

To be a great fit for this position we believe you have:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in UX/UI Design
  • Skills at creating compelling, visual, interactive design solutions for branded consumer applications
  • Proven experience working in design teams in a Digital product development setting
  • Able to plan, conduct, and synthesize user research and usability testing at various stages of the design process
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate the value of a design choice to users and non-designer stakeholders
  • Synthesizes abstract ideas into tangible solutions for design
  • Combined skills in 2 of 3 of the following: User Research, Interaction Design, Visual Design
